Wrinkles
Maybe you grew up worshipping the sun or genetics have caused premature aging. Either way, your skin does not need to look like roads on a map. Fine lines and wrinkles can add years to your face. Laugh lines. Crow’s feet. Worry lines. It seems there is a name for every mark that makes an appearance on our skin. As cellular changes slow, the bounce in skin fades, sun-damage takes its toll and environmental elements harm your skin, wrinkling the surface. However, as skin care advances, we have a number of treatments to help reduce fine lines and wrinkles.

Chemical peels
No one will be able to guess your age by the number of wrinkles you have on your face after a chemical peel. Best results are seen after a series of treatments. They help reduce the depth of surface lines, smooth skin texture and clear spots of aging. The peel solutions we use, some of which contain natural fruit acids, loosen dead skin cells, allowing healthier, younger skin to surface. Leave them guessing.
*If you are using Retin-A or Accutane, it is recommended that Retin-A use be stopped five days pre and post peel. If you use Accutane, please let us know and we will use a peel appropriate for your skin type.
Microdermabrasions
This is a mechanical exfoliation of the outermost layers of the skin that helps increase circulation, unclogs pores and promotes cellular turnover. It is also very effective for the treatment of mild scarring and fine lines. For best results, a series of treatments may be suggested. You can also upgrade your microdermabrasion to a Deluxe, which adds a relaxing, hydrating treatment for the skin. You may also add a chemical peel solution for maximum penetration of acne and other conditions. Resurface and reinvigorate your skin with a microdermabrasion.
Alma Accent XL Laser
This laser uses radio frequency to treat wrinkles and creping of the skin. The system, which can be used on any part of the body, tightens and re-contours the skin using proprietary Unipolar and Bipolar RF energy. It is virtually pain-free, eliminating the need for anesthesia, equaling to no downtime.
Thermage
Feel 30; look 50, but actually 40? Then Thermage® may be what you need to look how you feel. It is used to tone and contour the skin, improving on texture by stimulating your own collagen. The change progresses and lasts up to six months. Treatments are typically repeated every 2-5 years. Through the non-invasive Thermage® technology, Capacitive Radiofrequency (CRF), new collagen growth is triggered, as the CRF heats the under layer of your skin. Trick others into thinking you are younger.
Gentle Waves
Slow down the breakdown of your skin, reduce inflammation and promote collagen production with Gentle Waves light therapy. This treatment consists of a short, pulsing LED light that is pain free and has no down time. Invigorate your skin with this quick treatment.
IPL Photodynamic Therapy
Dramatically improve your skin with the Intense Pulsed Lightä (IPL) therapy. It is Photodynamic Therapy with the addition of IPL. It targets, protects and improves your skin. Even with the extra power it provides, this non-invasive treatment means no down time and is pain free. IPL treats conditions such as discoloration, small vessels of the skin and has a rejuvenating effect, meaning it helps tone and tighten skin. Let wrinkles be part of your past and not a part of your future.
Cool Touch Laser
Cooling and calming, the Cool Touch Laser is a gentle tool that helps with wrinkles. Before the laser, a cool solution is applied that protects the skin and nerve endings. The laser stimulates the production of collagen underneath the skin, tightening and toning it for a smoother appearance. Renew your skin and release yourself from wrinkles.
Palomar 1540 (Fractional Resurfacing)
This procedure uses fractional technology that creates small columns in the skin with the use of a laser. This treatment leaves healthy skin between the columns, helping to bridge collagen and resurface the skin. It can help minimize fine lines and wrinkles and surface irregularities. Resurface your skin and iron out wrinkles.
CO2 Laser
The carbon dioxide, or CO2 Laser, removes areas of wrinkled skin. It treats layer by layer by using a beam of laser energy that clears the skin, bringing new healthy cells to the surface. The laser allows for precision and generally means less down time and pain for the patient. Rekindle with the skin you had years ago.
Botox® Cosmetic
A purified protein that, through a series of small injections, blocks the chemicals that cause facial muscles to contract. Overactive facial muscles cause lines between the brows, across the forehead and around the eyes, and overtime, as the elasticity decreases in skin, those lines begin to stay. Botox® Cosmetic relaxes the muscles, helping diminish lines of the face.
Fillers
Most fillers are used to fill in lines in the lower 2/3 of the face. They are typically used for nasolabial folds, plumping lips and sculpting cheekbones. Fillers are also commonly used in our practice to fill in deeper lines between the brows and forehead in conjunction with Botox® treatments.
Autologous Fat
Fat is taken from other areas of the body and injected to fill in areas of the face, plumping you up in all the right places.
Restylane®/Perlane®
The first fillers made of non-animal based hyaluronic acid, a substance that already exists in the human body. They are safe, long-lasting filler that offer patients results for up to six months, giving you a smooth appearance. Perlane is for deeper folds.
Radiesse®
This substance is a non-allergenic, non-toxic filler that reduces the appearance of wrinkles around the mouth and nose, and can also be used to fill sunken scars. Results can be seen in one week and can last for up to two years, leaving you looking radiant.
Juvéderm
This is an injectable gel that adds volume, hydrates and rebuilds your skin. The gel is made of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance produced in your skin. It helps diminishes smile lines and other creases on your face.
Collagen
Collagen is injected and is a protein complex found in the human body and other mammals. It fills both deep and fine lines and folds on the forehead, around the eyes, mouth and nose, in addition to filling in scars and plumping thin lips, providing a youthful look.
Treating your skin from the inside out with prescription medication such as antibiotics and topical solutions may be the best option for you to maintain optimal results. |
